Q:Ok I've made a bit of a mess of this and need to know how I stand from a legal standpoint.
I went to a Homes and Property show last April (2005) and came across a company selling land (ELS – European Land Sales). I was offered a plot of land (greenfield) in Milton Keynes and put down a deposit of a £1000. The only reason I put the deposit down was because I was told it was refundable (I could not commit to the actual purchase because of financial issues which needed to be cleared firs
Q:Hellio fellow MSErs!
We are in the process of buying our first house and we are so thrilled! :j :
We are now facing the problem of splitting the house. We know about the tenants in common agreement and we know how to split our initial capital: I brought 25k for the deposit while OH brought 2k (after fees), and we took a 118k mortgage. So the tenants in common agreement should relflect this:
Me 84/145 of the house
OH 61/145 of the house

Q:Hi guys,
Feel like I have been waiting just about forever for the exchange to happen on the house I want to buy….looks like it may be this Friday! As well as being really excited I am now absolutely petrified!
It seems like its all pay out now! The mortgage, the life insurance, the buildings and contents insurance…..the list is endless!!!!!
Did anyone else get this scared feeling when it finally came to exchange?
Q:My parents are about to put an offer in on a house which has 5 years NHBC warranty left. They are cash buyers so won't need to have a survey done for a building society. Is it necessary to get a survey done on this kind of house or will the NHBC cover any problems?
Thanks
Q:Hello I am new.
I am looking to buy my first house and am unsure how much to tell estate agents in the area I am looking with regard to how much I can afford.
I can afford up to £200k, but do I tell estate agents that I can afford this, because I may be able to get a house advertised at that price cheaper. If the EA knows I can afford £200k would they advise the vendor of that?
Should I ask to see houses that are more than £200k, in case I could get them at a l
Q:I want to move house – there's nothing essentially wrong with the house (only 28 years old) but it looks a bit tired. I want to move towns, hence the move, and we don't have any problem neighbours, disputes, or plans afoot to bulldoze the land and build another Tesco on it.
Honestly – what's the house market doing at the moment?
My plans are to get the house tarted up (a bit tired looking after 7 years there, although we have a less-than-3-year-old bathroom) a
Q:I rang about 25 last week to re-register as still looking.
I have had 6 send me details through the post, and heard nothing from the others. I wasn't asking for the moon either.
Do they want to sell me a house?
