She as allready got the keys to her place and had it re decorated and is ready to move in.
She droped this bombshell on us last week after we got back from hols, her house is in need of doing up, there are a few rented properties on our street and some tenants are not the best.
So as you can imagine we are keen not to have anymore next door.
She said she had allready sold to a buider and he had promised
Q:Get the deeds of my house changed into my married name without going through the expense of a solicitor. Is it the same as changing my name with the land registry or is this something different. I really dont have a clue, and help would be great.
Q:Do we have to pay an Estate Agent after termination of Contract?
We employed an estate agent under sole agency and then included them on a multiple agency basis. (Under sole agency they introduced a 'cash buyer – nothing to sell etc etc and basically pressurised us to accept 10K less. Cash buyer then needed a loan which the agency knew about but never told us, everyone was proceeding well we thought until our solicitor alerted us to 'somethings going on here…'. Cash buyer
Q:My house sale looks like it's going through and I need to find someone to do the conveyancing. I've told the buyers, I'll finalise who I'm going to use today.
I've followed up a few recommendations supplied by friends etc but they're all coming in at @ 1K on a 275K sale which is a bit more than I was expecting to pay.
Online conveyancing seems like the way to go.. I used online conveyancing when I bought the house in 2000, however, that company
Q:Had an offer accepted on our flat, wanted the buyers to book a survey asap to make sure the offer was genuine however 2 weeks on and still no survey. They have taken mortgage thru our estate agent and he says all fees have been payed upfront by them but no date has been set for survey yet as that is to be set by mortgage company…
What timeframes does it take to book a survey (when I bought my place, it just took a couple of days) can the buyers not call mortgage company to chase them or
Q:Can anyone provide me with a few tips for bringing my house off the market.
Basically I've just had a change of heart and want to stay where I am. What is the best way of informing the estate agent without them trying to claw back any fees. We did receive one offer below asking price but it never went into solicitors hands.
I also never actually signed the estate agents contract and now I cant even find it. They have automatically renewed it after the first period ended.
Q:What exactly, or roughly even(!!) is one of these? It appears in the description of a house we like the look of…
Cheers!
Q:Hi i wonder if anyone can advise me, My grandmother of 90 is selling her house. The first people to view put in an offer for the full asking price, they have had the survery done last Tuesday and today sent the architect round to do whatever it is he's supposed to be doing. (They are thinking of turning the house into flats, as that seems to be the normal now in the road).
Anyway my question is, is it normal to send in an architect when nothing seems to have been agreed?
All i am
Q:Hi,
This is probably (hopefully) a very easy question but I can't find the answer anywhere so thought I'd try on here…
My boyfriend and I have just had an offer accepted on a house. We've instructed our solicitors and have an appointment with our mortgage broker on Wednesday afternoon. We want to have a homebuyers survey done on the house at the v least as it is a victorian terrace. Trouble is we're not sure on a couple of points.

Q:Hi all,
I am a next time buyer, I sold my last property to pay off some debts and invest in my business, I have been renting for 6 months but i'm now looking into buying again. I have seen a few properties aroung the 150K mark, I have a 10% deposit but i can only get an 85% mortgage due to bad credit in the past and being self employed. Is it feasable to get the seller to pay the other 5% deposit?? I remember a while ago seeing alot of offers "Seller pays 5% deposit" e
