Q:Im currently looking to sell my house and within the village i live there are only really 2 estate agents which advertise locally and are worth using.
The first one has 2 identical houses for sale, whilst the second has none.
I believe my house looks/is better than the other 2 for sale.
The question is do i use EA number 1 – people may then look at all three and decide that mine is the better house, or
Do i use EA number 2 who have none identical up for sale –
Q:Hello,
I am 17 years old and currently living at home. I want to get on the property ladder asap. I Earn about £700 a month but i have no rent/bills etc to pay. I have money saved up but i need to purchase a car. I had an idea of buying a flat worth £100.000 and renting it out. I would need to get a loan of £10.000 for a deposit. I worked out that by renting it out they would have payed the entire mortgage in 15 years. Anyway i was just wondering what your views are, what can go wro
Q:I've just been looking at the land registry online (http://www.landregisteronline.gov.uk/) and it looks really good.
In the first instance I want to purchse all of the relevant documents for my flat. Will the title register contain plans of the property boundary? For example http://www.landregisteronline.gov.uk/lro/resources/example_register.pdf doesn't contain any plans. I assume that it will contain plans.
Edit: I've worked it out now and I want the title pl

This house buying process is no fun
We have had letter today from our solicitor to advise that the vendors party doesnt have PP for the kitchen extension.
Great…….our solicitor has asked for them for an indemity policy…..which I guess is basically some protection. The extension was built in the 1980s we think
If the vendor does not pay for this policy…..would u recommend pulling out of the sale??

Q:We are thinking of moving house to somewhere bigger and reckon we will need to pay about £7000 in fees (estate agents, solicitors, stamp duty etc.).
We will need to extend the mortgage so was wondering if it is possible/normal to borrow the extra £7000 on the new mortgage to pay all the fees? Or do they have to be paid before we get the money from the bank/building society?
Thanks.
Q:We are going into rented to keep the bottom of our chain alive. We have just exchanged (does a little dance !) on our sale .
I was just wondering how the money is paid into our account so I can sort out a nice little home for it with max interest !!
Will it be in the form of a cheque or can it be transfered to our joint a/c.
Also when will this be on the day of completion or will the Solicitor keep hold of it for a few days ??
Thanks

Q:We've offered and had acceptance on a house that we like and are now struggling to find a mutually acceptable completion date.
The issue we have is that we rent and need to give a month's notice, so we proposed a date of 19 May giving us a week's overlap between houses. It could have been sooner but it took 3 weeks to get answers to some of our questions.
Yesterday, the vendor declared that he wanted to complete on 25 April. Not a hope in hell says us but we w
Q:The situation is that first time buyers are buying our house, and we are going to rent for a bit before again.
Therefore, the chain starts with them, and ends with us.
The survey has been done, and came back ok. We have submitted the fixtures and fittings and property details forms to their solicitor.
We are just waiting now for them to pay for their searches, and then we can exchange contracts and complete.
Is now a good time for our solicitor to t
