Q:I wonder if anyone could help me here. I live on a main road in town and it has very little on street parking. There are double yellow lines on the road at my side of the street and I have been wondering about making a driveway by knocking down the front wall of my garden and doing the usual work to make it useable etc.
Would I need to get permission to do this work? There are loads of houses in the street and only one has a driveway, all the rest have front walls and some railings (in
Q:New craze in Northern Ireland . New build houses are now being released and people bid on them rather than sit on a deck chair outside the estate agents .

The only mortgage to suit our needs at the moment is the Northern Rock together mortgage, mainly because we have not got a deposit and we are in Scotland so need to pay over what the value of the house is surveyed at. I know that people on this forum are not

Q:Hi All
I am hopefully moving down to Bath next month and my boyfriend and I are very keen to buy. However, both of us know very little about the property market- would it be a good time to buy down in Bath? We are really keen to find somewhere that needs a bit of work and 'do it up'.
He is a carpenter and I'm a scientist so neither of us earn big money- we'd be looking around the £200,000 mark for a two bed place.
Any advice would be most appreciated!!
Q:It would appear that repossesions are a good way to get a property under current market value however how would you find out about them ?
Is this information available to all of us or is it just for a secret sect
Is the purchase any different because it's a repo ie are lenders a bit more wary ?
TIA,
Mike.

Q:Hello
I have paid an agency fee to hold a flat (175 quid) and cicumstances now dictate I could really do with not going through with it.
It has been less than 24 hours, is there any way I can get them to give me this back? Is there a cooling off period or anything…
Even if I lost a portion of it, it would still be better than nought!
Q:What happens to the mortgage if you've exchanged and before you get to complete, you're made redundant? Is the mortgage still valid or do you need to reapply for a new one for your new situation?
