Q:I and 3 friends rented a house last year and have moved out. We are trying to get our deposit back.
The agency keep getting us to jump through lots of hoops and then changing their minds or putting up more hoops. I finally refused to deal with them other than via written (recorded) letters, and have got them down to 1 remaining 'hoop'.
They want us to prove that there is a £0 balance on our water bill and it has all been paid.
When we paid the water bill, we sent a
Q:Interesting, if a little dry, article in The Business.

One forecaster suggesting inflation (RPI) could hit 3.9%.
Now if we're to maintain real interest rates, that suggests a base rate around 6%, worst case scenario.
I think it's a bit daft to extrapolate from the last few months' inflation figures. It's as silly as the Express saying
Q:Apologies if there is already a thread.
Seems like quite a good scheme and I shall be looking into this over the next few weeks.

Q:Hi, we are in the initial stages as looking at a holiday lodge to buy in the West Country.
There seems to be plenty for sale but we were wondering if anybody on this site has been through the procedure of purchasing one already and can point out the pitfalls.
Also, does anybody know if these places actually increase in value at all?
Thanks.

we dont want to involve the housing assosiation as we would just like a rough idea of our flats value.
also do we or should we tell the agent that its shared ownership to start with? bearing in mind that we dont really want the agent to sell our place at the moment so isnt that irrelevent?

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday came and went – still heard nothing, then

At least two bedrooms so that son who wants to work in London can live temporarily there whilst he is looking but will not be living with her. The problem is whether to buy a flat in London where she works or buy a house in Harrow where she is living now and she can ca
