  • Even Rental Deposit Question

A:normally i would agree about the lack of inventory – but, this was a brand new property when alex moved into it.
A judge will for sure take this into consideration when deciding if stains/marks etc are fair wear and tear or not.
i agree it is unreasonable to insist on "professional cleaners".

  • how bad is the northern line?

Q:We are thinking of moving to the Muswell Hill area but OH works in Docklands – no, sadly not in one of those fancy £££ bonus jobs

anyone out there do the northern line highgate to bank tube on a daily basis? Or even Muswell Hill to Canary Wharf?
How long does it take and just how bad a commute is it? Even the estate agents are saying um, well, you'll get used to it but it's not fun.

  • Help – company management nightmare!

    Q:Hi Everyone,

We are supposed to exchange any day and were planning to move next friday, but the only thing holding us all up is a response to a letter that our solicitor sent to our managment company with a query on 18th July. We are selling a leasehold one bed flat. Our solicitor has been trying to contact them for over 2 weeks, as have we and our estate agents. All we can do is leave message upon message on their answer phone or leave a message with the secretary when she eventu

Q:Saw a property yesterday and it was under offer and it seems to be back on right move and on the EA website. Is there any way to know whether it is back on the market and for what reason? Do not want to ring EA as they were rude to me last time? Might get a friend to ring EA. This is the property.

  • When making an offer?

    Q:Hi,

We've just seen a house we really like and are wondering when the best time to make an offer is. The situation is that the house has been recently put back on the market after a buyer pulling out (due to finding somewhere they preferred – no indication it was due to bad survey or anything like that). An offer has already been made, but it's not been accepted as the prospective buyers haven't yet sold their property.

Our house is being put on the market f

  • Buying in a booming market

Q:Over here in NI we are experiencing record property price inflation. How does one move up the ladder in such situations?
Is it better to wait until the market cools to avoid bidding wars?
Is it better to buy asap as the amount of money required to move up the ladder will keep increasing?
Is money better spent on an extension/ attic conversion to improve the accommodation in the short term?
I hope you can give some advice!
