The sale of a home purchase have their own releases . Help please? [lawyers fees] [equity release]

Q:Hi,

My Fiancee is selling her flat. The offer that's been put in for it we are about to accept but it doesn't cover the full balance of the equity release(s) she has on the flat.
However I have the money to settle the remainder of the balance. The remainder of the balance will be £6000 which is taking into account the Estate agents selling fees and Lawyers fees to settle the loans on the property. What I'm not sure of is, how would it work with paying the remainder

    Q:Hi everyone.

I've just left uni and i've decided to stay in the city i studied in and i'm trying to get a flat.
I've seen a really nice one, its only a small studio apartment, but i have no idea how much it will cost to run it. Does anyone know of anywhere i can find a ball-park figure of basic water, gas and electric costs for a small apartment with only me living there?

    Many thanks!

  • Why do I need to provide proof of ID [joe bloggs] [proof of id]

Q:I know the Uk has turned into a 'Big Brother' nightmare where personal freedom is not respected unless you are a criminal but why do I have to provide a copy of my passport to an Estate agent before they will market my home ?

Am i alone in thinking this is an infringement of my basic liberty to sell my property (not buying again) with privacy. What about the security issue of any old Joe Bloggs working for an Estage Agent having full access to a copy of my passport.

Q:Does anyone know if there is a certain size that a room must be in order for it to be legally rented on an Assured Shorthold Tenancy?

Also, is there a limit to how many tenants are to be expected to share a toilet (not at the same time!), or bathroom ?

I ask because I have been working away and renting a room in a shared house… But now, as well as renting the dining room, the landlord has decided to let out the 'box room' to a 4th tenant, and I'm su

  • Municipal taxes Re- Banding [water bills] [motions]

Q:Hi I'm just after some information on getting my council tax rebanded. I have already gone through the motions of having my house rebanded and I have been knocked back in my efforts. I am currently a band B and I feel it should be a band A.

After talking to my dad, he mentioned about our water bills, which are not on a meter. So the amounts we each pay are based on what was originally the old valued rates. I pay £21 a month and he pays £33 a month. Based on this his house was

  • Should I or can I except partial payment of property [agreement states] [tenancy agreement]

Q:I have moved out of my old house due to a flood caused by shoddy building work. My tenancy agreement states that the landlord is to return to me any monies paid during a period of unihabitabililty. The isnurance company have confirmed this period as the two weeks from the date of the flood up until the time of the alternative house that we moved to. When we tried to claim this two week period back from the landlord he promptly told us where to go and that the builders should pay it. This start
