Help Getting Money For A House

Q: Hey,

I was just wondering if anyone ideas how I can afford to buy a house (about £ 50,000) had to invest (B2L). I can not get a mortgage, because Im still 17.

Thanks!

A:Is that still your answer to everything?!

Time to nail my flag to the mast, I suppose. I genuinely believe that working hard and putting money aside is a good idea.

I'm going on the lamb now before the thought police come round to reprogram me…

A:This has got to be a wind up…?

(The OP I mean)

I thought the same but unfortunately its probably not………

A:Go and educate yourself and work to earn a living. Forget dreaming of becoming a millionaire landlord. The golden days of excessive house price gains are over. Only the last few fools are entering the buy to let market now.

Go and work and earn a living the old fashioned way and if prices come back down to realistic levels then perhaps it maybe worth considering.

The only landlords that are entering the market now are those that don’t know the difference between +/-.

A:Find somewhere unoccupied and squat there without getting evicted for 12 years.

Erm, you could always build a play house and invite your friends round to show each other their ASBOs

A:Thats a shame. Is there any other way of me getting a property?

cheers!

A:Perhaps you could get a job, work hard, save your money.

Come on, what did you think people were going to say?

Is that still your answer to everything?!

A:"Here's £50k – you should have said – didn't realise you needed it! Sorry!"

Or something.

A:there is a vast amount of knowledge around this topic on www.singingpig.co.uk – it'll take you till your 18th to read it all !!

A:very few lenders will lend on a BTL without you having your own home.

A:correct bob

OP, start working as hard as you can, and banking the money. By the time youve earned enough you may have changed your mind.

You can't buy a house then either, you can't be a party to a contract until you are 18, IIRC.
