Housing associations [bad credit history] [mortgadge]

Q: Does anyone know how a housing association in London to join when Im tired of paying exorbitant rental agencies london, i cannot get any due to riddled with default settings, help.

A:What you really need to do is register with your local council's housing list. Anybody living in the borough is able to do this. Of course it depends on a person's needs as to whether they would ever acrue enough points to be allocated a property.

When you register with the council the form will usually ask you if you would consider other area's & housing association properties. Ticking all the options will increase your eventual chances, though unless you are homeless or have some kind of special need then you are likely to be in for a very, very long wait.

A:no i am not a key worker , so i should contact a homeless shelter? Won't they ignore me as I am not homeless?

A:incidentally most HAs in london rent out thier properties directly via the homelessness sections of local authorities

A:are you a key worker Simon?
