Moving To Bristol – Best Areas [bristol] [job]

Q:My daughter has just graduated, got in , needs place to live. Can anyone help with best areas, close to town centre and CHEAP?

A:My best friend works in BS1 lives in Clifton, did live in Redland. She WALKs to work in twenty minutes (briskly though).

A:She needs to live somewhere where there's one bus journey to work. It'd be grim in a new and new city if you had to catch 2-3 buses and walk a mile to get to work.

What is the first part of the postcode?

A:Clifton is nice, but watch out for parking, which is almost impossible. Living costs are also high. Personally, I live in Hotwells and work in Clifton, which works okay.
Public transport is very poor. I recommend looking close to work if possible.

Clifton (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clifton%2C_Bristol) and Redland (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redland%2C_Bristol) are the nicest areas close to the centre.

Clifton is the nicest part of . Lovely georgian town houses with plenty of rental opportunity. I have just moved there myself and am paying 695 for a 2 bed. You can find nice 1 bed flats for around 625+.

Redland and Cotham are also close to the centre, very nice areas, and slightly cheaper than Clifton.
