A:we got an email to say we have been put on their list, and that we should hear from them soon.

as for looking, how does that happen? do you look for any flat and then tell the HA you want to move there? same goes with estate agents… do you contact them, say were on the HA and then what? if they show us anything, again, we contact HA?

Thanks so much for your reply!

A:Myself and MrA have been looking into this too.
We signed up to the HA list and get sent details about the local devolpments every so often. Get on the list then start looking – do it the other way round and it'll take longer.

Don't expect to get a house – there will be more appartments than houses with gardens. (also people will kids will have priority over these)

I have discovered that a £65k(this is ave 50% in our area)mortgage is approx £400(three months ago when we spoke to a mortgage advisor) then you will have £200 rent on top of that then service charges between £20 -£100.

Most developments must have an element of affordable housing. So there will be some springing up near you.

Sign up to local estate agents too…they get re-sale stuff in our area.

I'm not sure what happens with stamp duty… you might have to pay the full amount
