Over time we have built up large , and with our mortgage increasing with the interest rate rises, we are finding it a struggle to pay.

Also not sure if at a later date whether we would be able to get back on the .
Looking for anyone with advice, or has been in a similar situation.

Thinking about selling our house, to release the equity,

First off do as guy says, post a SOA. As far as the selling the house goes to release the equity, throw caution to the wind. Times might seem bad at the moment but with all the help you can get off this website i would take one step at a time and not do anything that you might regret.

A:I am strongly in the camp "House prices will NOT drop over the next 1-5 years"
BUT in your position I would sell and pay my debts because to get in this state in the first place you have been totally iresponsible. You don't have the financial abilty to get yourself out of this mess. SELL and learn a leason.
Sorry for being blunt.

In fact, even as I type houses are backing up on the market, not selling.

So I'd do it… only downside I see is that you pin your hopes on doing this then it doesn't sell.

A:Can you give us some details?
How much did you buy your house for?
What size of mortgage do you have, and how much do you pay out per month (IO or repayment?)
What is your income?
And how much other debts do you have?

I know it's a lo of info, but we won't really be able to give you proper advice unless we know what the full circumstances are.
