A:Thanks all.. we aren't getting any HB so it won't effect that.. will give them a call in a bit.
A:Working for a HA I would say tell them. It helps keep our records up to date on who is living in the property. I think in our tenancy agreement it states that you have to keep us informed of any changes to occupancy, not that many people do.

A:It may be to your benefit to tell them. They may consider you eligible for a larger place. Can't see why it could do any harm to let them know.
I don't know if you are claiming housing benefit, but could it affect the amount of HB you are entitled to?
A:Have you got a contract with them that you can look over? If not, you could request a copy of it and read it through before committing yourself to letting them know.
It's probably the case that housing associations are all a little different from each other in their requirements and expectations.
