A:I would recommend Robert Carroll. He is self employed through Boyds Property and so is keen and damn good at his job.

see his website http://eepg.co.uk/ and let him know that Julie recommended him. He will do right by you.

A:My family have always used Morisons with no complaints.

A:Having bought and sold a few places in Edinburgh over the last few years, I can recommend Sturrock & Armstrong. I've also used Lints (Phillip Harris) and found them pretty good.

Suggest you get a couple of quotes from various firms and take it from there (of the 2 firms I mentioned, Lints will be cheaper). Irrespective, as you're not selling a property, there shouldn't be that much variation in price (as most charge a flat fee for purchases).

You might also want to check the ESPC offices in George St as they have open evenings where you can initiialy speak to solicitors regarding house purchases free of charge.
