Q:I have just received a letter from my solicitor asking for me to make an appointment to sign my purchase and sale contracts. Previously when I talked to my solicitor on Thursday I was under the impression they where awaiting a couple of enquiries from the solicitor of the property we are buying.
Does it mean by them sending this letter that everything has been sorted or are they doing this just for readiness of receving the information.

Q:Ok the scenario is that my grandma sadly died earlier this year. Her house was left in the Will to my mum & her sister.
The house has been on the market now for around a couple of months with only 1 viewer so far.
Anyway, today she has received a call saying that someone is wanting to rent the house but needs an answer pretty quickly about it (as in maybe by tommorrow).

Q:When a new estate is built in Scotland there is a general tie in that the communal grounds must be maintained by a Property Factor.

Q:Hello! I am new here
My boyfriend and I currently live with my parents and we are looking to move out and rent somewhere this year. Really I have no idea how to go about this as all the way through uni I lived at home. I guess I am asking how do I work out how much we can afford to rent each month? Also what other monthly costs am I likely to encounter (bills, shopping, etc)? If it is any help, my boyfriend earns £20,000 & I earn about half that
TIA
Q:Hi everyone,
I've learned an AWFUL lot from 'lurking' on these boards so a big general thank you. However, I do still have a question about mortgages.
We are about to take out our first mortgage, just outside London, of around £170k (with 15% deposit), which will be a shade under £1,100 per month (on a 25 year repayment). This is possible on our current income – in fact it's only a few pounds more each month than we pay in rent at present. Understandably
