Q:We are today at the end of our 3 week tie-in with our EA and, despite 20 odd viewings and one offer 20K below the asking price, they have not ultimately sold the property.
We are thinking of swapping to a larger EA, although they will charge 1% (rather than the 2k flat fee we currently are under) and we are not sure whether it is worth it (£750 difference). The level of viewings has petered out, presumably as the contacts list has been exhausted. However, I am concerned that other l
Q:I only just put our 2 bedroom terraced on the maket official (Thursday) we have had several buyers round since then, One put in an offer for 100k buy to let which was refused, one put in an offer Friday having just seen it for 105k then 108k as that was turned down, asking price is 111k.
Today we got some one who knocked and wanted specs of house, we showed them around, I dont think they were in a strong position. A young couple today came with there parents I couldnt way them up w
Q:hello, this is my first time to sell a house and it's been on the market for 1 month. a townhome in our complex was sold in 2 weeks (same size & condition as ours).
anyway, we got an awesome RE agent, he was referred to us by our friends and he was very successful with his transactions with them (like getting their homes sold for more than asking price, good strategy). take note though our home is located in an area which is not his specialty. but we hired him anyway because
Q:Apologies for the rant but here goes…..
We found a house not too far from where we live now, needed abit of work but nothing drastic so we put our house up on the market to test the water and to see what sort of interest we would get. 4 days later we received an asking price offer from a 1st time buyer, oh we thought, we had looked about and found nothing, then as you do, you look at things that you probably would not even consider. Anyway eventually we found a house in a nice q
Q:I?ve been actively viewing here for ages – your advice is always so good so wonder if you could offer me some…
Went to see a property yesterday which I?m very keen on. 2 bed maisonette, Sussex town, great area, no chain … needs a new kitchen and general updating but I could easily live in it in the meantime. It?s only been on the market since last week. The asking price is £169950… I put in an offer of £161k in the afternoon ?this was rejected last night … EA says – vendo
Q:Hello all, here's our potential quandry.
Our house has been on the market for 4 weeks, only 3 viewings, we have just dropped the price by 4K to try and stir up more interest.
A house we are interested in is up for X thousand, and if we sold our house for a bit less than the current asking price we could just afford the full asking price.
My thinking is to make an offer on the house, and if it is, for example, accepted at 10K less than it's asking price,
Q:Phoned EA to view a house on the market for £285,950, he told me that the house had two offers at the asking price. I can only view the house if I want to go above the asking price which I declined. Surely if he had two offers, he should not encouraged buyers to go over the asking price and all viewing should be stopped. I am not that desperate and it is something I will not do. Is EA encouraging buyers to bid for the house? Thanks
