    Q:Hi,

    I've got a question, I'm in the very late stages of buying a house, we were told when we made the offer that the house was freehold. Well we got the contracts through over the weekend and its now clear that the house and the land which the house is built on is freehold but the access road behind the house is leasehold and there is an underlease on it.

    The lease is something silly like ￡5 a year but my only concern is the fact that the lease expires in 2032,

    Q:I'm currently renting and had a 6 month contract which expired earlier this month. I'm in the process of buying a house and need to give notice to my landlord.

    In my contract it says he must give me one month notice and I must give him two months. I beleive the law dictates I only have to now give him one months notice? Is this correct. Also, is it one month from the billing date?

    Q:Me and my other half are currently in the process of buying our first home. Only one of us is going on the mortgage because I have a small default still current on credit file (didn't know about it until I applied for mortgage!) .     Q:Hi There

    Im in the process of buying a house from a guy that has a repo order against him.

    I looked at the house in May and everything has gone through smoothly, i am just waiting for the money from my ex-partner (he is buying out my share of our current property) and then i can exchange.

    I am really being hassled by the estate agent to get this money through, the estate agent is saying that the vendors mortgage company could take the house back at any time

    Q:We offered ￡155,000 for a house that was on for ￡165,000 at the start of May .. our offer was accepted..the house needs a lot of modernisation.

    Had the survey back from the lender yesterday.. and theres some work that they reccomend we get inspected further and carry out.
