Q:I will shortly be buying a house from a member of family and need to work out how much roughly to keep aside for the actual purchase, things such as stamp duty, solicitors fees, searchs etc (purchase price of £160,000, no survey needed as i know the house, and we obviously wont be going through an estate agent)
any help greatly appreciated
Q:Hi,
Just wanted to check this out – we are buying a house that has had an extension done about 3 years ago. The vendors questions stated that they did not have planning permission as it wasn't required. Q:My parents, my brother and I are looking to buy a house together as me and my brother are both at the same university and it seems pointless paying out huge amounts in rent for the next few years.
However, I have a few questions:

Q:Hi,
Did anyone see the housing gamble feature on BBC Breakfast with a short comment by Martin Lewis ?
The man buying a house at 19 was fixated on the "housing ladder" and it was scary! IMO his argument for buying was weak. Does someone that focussed on the ladder respond to interest rate rises ?
Martin's comment was useful.
Kind regards,
Ashley.
Q:since the accounts have limits on BACS to £1000 daily or £10000 daily, when it comes to buying a house without mortgage can solicitors override this? if not how else would it be done?
Q:In the future if I can get enough money saved, I'd like to get a house with my boyfriend( we live with my parents at the moment) I think buying is best but he thinks renting. What does anyone else think?
