Advice on buying new build flat in London [first time buyer] [new build property]

Q:Hi,

I'm a first time buyer and have been looking for sometime now. I've found a 1 bed flat i like which i'm going to go and view, but it's a new build property unlike all the others i've seen. I had a few questions regarding offers (assuming i like it!).

1. It's on for 290k with a 35k discount if you complete within 30 days. I have a few concerns over this, mainly being i dont think it's worth 290k and i'm not sure a survey will either. I

    Q:Hey all,

    I'm in the market for a new build flat which i have my eye on. What i was wondering is what kind of deal do you think i could get out of the developer?

    I'm a first time buyer and the flat i'm looking at has a shared equity mortgage. (they pay 25% deposit loan thing)
    Plus they have already knocked 12k off the asking price (due to the current market)
    What i'd like to do is say i'll give you the base asking price but i want the top floo

    I have found a property I would like to buy, on the market at £199,995, want to offer, but what should I go in at? The property has been on the market for a while and although the sellers arent yet desperate, they are obviously keen to find a buyer.

    Q:Hi there all, im going to be a first time buyer but am so unsure of the market i am looking for advice from those that have recently bought.

    Shared ownership? Is it worth it? What are the catches? From what i see, even with just a 25% share add the rent and its the same as a normal mortgage in the amount of monthly repayments! And am i responsible for all things that go wrong? Eg boiler, repairs, even if i only own 25% if the property?

    Q:We are going to buy a house from someone we know. She has not openly marketed her house its a private sale. I do however have some questions and would appreciate some pointers if anyone has time.

    The house is £230,000 and we have a deposit of £100,000. She has accepted our offer. I have read up on here about different types of mortgages etc. I have also done a comparison of solicitors and it seems the best deal is an online conveyancing firm at £3200 to include the stamp duty.

    The average numbers are that 25% of the development is affordable housing. This is a significant proportion of affordable housing and given that the development is recent the full impact of the affordable housing on the development will not yet be apparent
