One point though, I am currently working on a contract in Malaysia until November 2009. After November 2009 we will go away on a nice long holid

Q:Hi, my girlfriend and I are first time buyers and have seen a property we want.
I am registered with the estate agents who arranged a viewing with the buyer but my girlfriend is not.
I have not signed anything with the agent nor have I been verbally told any terms and conditions of their service.
Can I contact the seller directly to make an offer or am I and/or the seller legally bound to go through the estate agent?
Advice greatly appreciated
Q:DH and i are first time buyers (i have owned my own homes in the past but sold up 3 years ago and rented for a while).
We are interested in a new build with asking price of £126995. We have a 10% cash deposit and mortgage offer in principal. We have even spoken to Haslams financial advisor(who we wont be using) and they confirmed to Haslam that we are good for the money, so to speak. When we first showed interest but said we were looking for a 15% discount as we are in an ideal pos

Q:Hi, I'm new to this forum and I've been trying to read all the posts but there are so many on this topic so sorry if I'm repeating previous questions. Myself and my partner are first time buyers and we've seen a house we both love and is ideal for us to live in for a long time. It's on for £275,000 but we've been told he will take an offer. Do you think it would be sensible in today's financial climate to make a very low offer (say £220,000 then possibly go up to £2
Q:Hi
I'd appreciate any advice on our situation, as we are not sure what to do at the moment!
We are first time buyers and have saved a total of 53k to date, 43k of which we would use as a deposit on a house, leaving 10k for fees, keep in our savings etc etc.
We have been renting for a couple of years and are keen to own our own home, nearer to my place of work. We are looking at houses with asking prices of between 179k to 200k, so our deposit is worth 20-2
Q:Yep, sorry, I'm starting another of those off
We're First Time Buyers, we want to stay fairly central but would be willing to commute from somewhere in under an hour, especially if it was a niceish area. We're not too scared of Central London areas as many seem to be, we live near Finsbury Park now and though it's a bit hectic, we quite like it.
Budget is around £200K max, and that's presuming we can haggle people down to £170K!
Does an
Q:Hello all,
I have just purchased my first house with via the first time buyers initiative. I am now on the property ladder (well just about).
My question is how quickly should I aim to move up? The next step would be 100% ownership. Friends have said it is easier to buy a better second home than your first.
Cheers
