Help with the question of the lawyer of copper

Q:Our solicitors have forwarded a questionnaire from our buyer's solicitors for us to complete. Most of the questions are identical to ones we have already answered on a previous form (is that usual?). However, there is also a new question which I do not really fully understand:

Please let us know if there are any easements over the property or for the benefit of the property, which are currently unregistered, since we will be required to reveal these at registration under

  • Please help need advice

    Q:Hi

    Any advice appreciated.

We moved into a rental property on the 14/07/05. We are moving abroad on the 05/09/06. I have told our estate agent on his previous property inspection 3 months ago that I would like to extend our contract to the 05/09/06. Yesterday he phoned me and told me that he had to give me a section 21. He said it would run until the 13/09/06. I told him that I only want until the 05/09/06. Today he gave us the section 21 until the 13/09/06. Now that woul

  • Help, who makes the decisions?

    Q:Hi all,

Can anyone give advice on who makes the decisions about what happens when you decide to sell a house in Scotland?
My mum died at the end of last year, and her house was left to three of us. After some discussion we decided to sell the house and approached the solicitor who had acted as executor to see if he could sell the property for us.
We had a meeting with him where the three of us were asked to sign a letter that we agreed for his firm to sell the property, th

  • Help! House not selling.

Q:I put a 2 bedroom weaver's cottage ( built in 1750) on the market in April. It is very small, with a reasonable garden and is in a nice village in the north west. There is an issue with parking over which I have no control. I thought the price (£115,000) might appeal to a FTB but nobody has shown any interest, after a few viewings. I live 100 milles away so the EA is driving the sale really.

Is it time to reduce the price? I just do not want the house empty over the winter. Am

Q:We have been looking for houses for only a short while but have found an ideal house for us now.

I have millions of questions though – just don't know where to get started…
    please bear with me.

    1. We are first time buyers, although we have a lot in savings – enough deposit for 1/3 of the asking price, we can get a mortgage for the rest (we have a number of quotes) although we haven't decided which lender to go with yet.

    2. The house is going to

  • Help! 3% stamp duty cause stress! Advice please!

    Q:Hi Guys,

After going on offer in January and buying a house at £250k which was on the market at £265k, after six months of the seller umming and arring about his house price, our buyer had enough and pulled out.
The house was next put back on and sold again for over the threshold in a day!

We were extremely gutted. We picked ourselves back up and dusted off, and have since got another buyer for a slightly higher price than originally.

    We then have found an
