Q:Hi,
Advice needed. My house sale has fallen through at the last minute by my buyers pulling out. It has been off the market since April as the sale was going through. Myself and my partner couldn't believe what had happened and now our house has been de valued by 10K in just 4 months by our estate agent.
We cant afford to drop the 10K, so we have enquired about a part ex. I instructed my estate agents to not re advertise the house and i have given them 14 days written noti
Q:We have agreed the sale price of our house with a buyer who has already knocked us down £17,000 from the asking price of £130.000. We are buying a new build Bloor home and they agreed to knock their price down to match the reduced offer on our house. The surveys have been done on both our house and the new build and we are now waiting for the next stage.
The possible issue: The buyer is buying our property to let and has been known in the past by our EA to drop the purchase price at the
Q:Im just wondering if anyone can give me some advice please.
After 3 long years (spent mostly banging my head against a wall) my ex-boyfriend has finally agreed to sell the house we jointly own. Him and his girlfriend have been living in the house for 6months. The man buying it is a friend of my ex's and wants to rent it out. It all sounds fine as this means he can stay living there by renting it and I get my money (finally).
Anyway the problem I have is that the sol
Q:Just after a little bit of advice. My partner and I split in March and put our house on the market. We are now both thinking that we may have made a big mistake and are talking about giving things another go.
This would be easy if it wasn't for the fact that we found a buyer for our home extremely quickly. Although we are yet to exchange contracts, my partner and I have signed them and returned them to our solicitor. Our buyer has also completed their survey of our property
Q:The Court of Appeal has ruled estate agency Foxtons is not entitled to commission for a house sale despite having shown the buyer around it.
The buyer decided not to buy the house when he first saw it because it needed too much work doing to it.
But when he was later contacted by another estate agency, Hamptons, he changed his mind and bought it.
The judges ruled that Foxtons needed to have "introduced the purchaser to the purchase" and not just to the property.
Q:Hi All,
Been visiting this fantastic site for ages but this is my first post – so please be gentle with me.
I am in a difficult situation and would like to call on your wisdom for help. My partner and I bought a property together last year. Prior to buying together we both owned our own properties. OH managed to sell his before we bought which made the new house possible. However, my house still required work to be finished.
My house has been on the market

Q:Hi
OH was due to complete on her house sale today but she got a call from the solicitor yesterday who said that the buyers mortgage hadn't come through yet (he is an investor). Now the solicitor is talking of sueing? Surely this is a bit premature if it is just delayed a bit?
Has anyone any experience of a similar situation?
Advice appreciated.
Q:This might be best placed in Savings&Investments but given the situation here goes…
Partner has just completed on her house sale (hurrah). She now has £50k (that she made from the sale). £45k of this will be going towards our purchase but that won't be for ~4 weeks. How best to maximise the interest but still be able to get instant access for the purposes of our purchase?
Ta very much
Q:Hi,
I'm new to this site and wondered if anyone can help me.
I accepted an offer on my property in january, and a survey was carried out in Feb.
I have since found 2 properties and carried our surveys and searches etc at a cost of over £1000.
I found out on Monday 14/04 that the buyer pulled out on 22/02 but nobody told me. My solicitors tell me that they knew, but were under no obligation to tell me, and it was the estate agents job. The estate agent says that
