Q:Hello
I was wondering if some of you might be able to help me?
I live in my parents 3 bedroom council house with my mum, dad, 2 brothers, my girlfriend and my 10 week old son.
My girlfriend and I are trying to get a flat of our own for us and my son, we both work full time (well she's on maternity leave). We can't afford to buy a house yet so we have applied to the local Housing Association and they work on a points basis. We have a decent amount o
Q:I was wondering if people could help with regard to my housing association? They have started doing yearly visits to the property, which I have no problem with however during the first visit I was told that we had too much stuff and we had to get rid of some of it as well as the house being untidy and we needed to tidy up.
We have subsequently had 3 further visits (week after week) all of which have resulted in much the same report and they are now wanting to visit a further time.
Q:Is there any way a person can pass their Housing Association house onto someone else without it going back on the market so to speak?
Would the person have to live with the current tenant for a while? Any idea how long? I'm assuming the council would re-assess the new tenant but surely if their 'need' was for that size house they couldn't rehome someone into that property as they'd need to find another for that someone…
does that make sense?
Q:Hi
I have been in the process of buying a shared ownership flat since september last year.
I originaly enquired and was sent all the details, I was happy with what they were offering so decided to go ahead. I reserved the property in the begining of October. The whole process has been a nightmare and the housing association since could not be more unhelpful.
* The housing association advised me originaly that the property would be ready In march 2008.
Q:Hi guys,
I own a 50% shared ownership house, the other half is with a housing association. Fine i thought, so I arranged for said surveyor and he's coming tomorrow. I called the HA because I couldn't find the address to send the
Q:3 weeks ago we could smell a gas smell in our house and next door could too (semi-detached) we had transco out 3 times the 1st day and continuously for 2 weeks we had transco out and also our housing association gas people who checked the boiler, did their tests etc and transco dug up our drive to find out the problem, nothing was found. The smell is boiler fumes, the 'professionals' who have smelt it have said the same. The smell only occurs when the boiler is on (not functioning just

Sorry if this question has been asked many times before.
We have decided to buy our property from the Housing Association and filled in all the forms etc.
They have sent out a surveyor so we are simply waiting now on the price they will say the house is worth. It's a 3 bedroom house (end of terrace), large garden, 2 toilets etc.
