Q:Has anyone ever got involved in making one of the above applications to the Land Registry? Any experiences?
Q:The deed was first granted in 1930 but an item later added says: "REGISTERED CHARGE dated 17 December 1999 to secure the moneys including the further advances herein mentioned."
There is no further reference to this, or none that my solicitor has copied to me anyway. We had been trying to find out if a certain piece of land had been registered as part of the property – could this be a later registering of an additional piece of land to the property? The title plan included
Q:I would appreciate some help from all you experts out there. At the time of my divorce my house was transferred into my name but my ex retained a charge on it until I paid him a final balance. I am now in a position to pay this money. My question is can he just contact the land registry direct to remove the charge or do we have to use solicitors (and incur more costs!).

Q:A builder who lives locally to me has bought and sold several houses over the past 5 years but none of these appear on the Land Registry database (Righmove.co.uk/houseproces.co.uk etc).
Is he doing something illegal to avoid stamp duty maybe or is there a genuine reason for this?
Any ideas?
