Lardlord Problems – Please Advise

Q:Hi guys,

Would appreciate some advice on this please. We have been renting a propety for about a year and a half, and taken very good care of it. The owners wanted to sell the house, so we moved out and purchased a home of our own. Around this time the landlord sold his propety, so everyones happy.

A few weeks later we were shocked to receive a letter with a list of items that the landlord wasn't happy with i.e. sinks and cooker not clean enough, and therefore want

So each month we are sending more cash back to meet the mortage. We have no savings to fall back on and 2 credit cards, car loan

  • How do I get my Deposit Back From Landlord?

    Q:Hi There

I would be grateful if anybody has any advice regarding retrieving my deposit from my ex-landlord.

When I originally moved into the property, it was all done through the lettings agency, but halfway through the tenancy the landlord took over the handling of things himself.

I moved out a week ago, and was told that after he had done the necessary checks in the property, he would post me a cheque. I waited over the weekend for him to contact me but when

Q:Hi, I havent paid my rent for two months, but my landlord is keeping my deposit which is more than 1 months rent. so in effect he is only owed around £400 in the end….do I have rights? Will he take me to court for such a little amount? I am living in this house for another 4 weeks. Basically I want to know what action he will have to take to get his money and how long it would take? Thx.

  • Please help: Moving to Saturday

    Q:Hi All,

I'm supposed to be moving into a 2-bedroom house on Saturday with my little girl. I asked the Agent if there would be curtains and if not could they ask the landlord to include them. Apparently he has said there won't be any curtains. I don't see then how a rental of £525.00 per month can be justified if practical things like curtains aren't included.

If I were to move somewhere else in 6 months time then that means buying more curtains to fit
