Q:I have to write a reference for my BIL as he has lived with us for almost two years and he is now moving out. He is going to be renting a room privately off a lady, but understandably, she wants references.
I don't have her name or details (I suppose BIL should know them, but I don't think I'll be able to contact him before tonight).
What exactly do I need to put in the letter? I've put mine and bf's contact details. I guess other things will be r

The girlfriend and I are going to be moving in together in September and we would like to avoid agencies if we can. Does anybody know of a website where landlords advertise directly, I have only found one for liverpool so far. We are looking at the haydoc or st helens area.

I work for 30 hours

Q:Hi everyone, was wondering if anyone here could offer advice.
I'm just one of a number of people affected by the estate agent, which I rent my flat from, having closed down without notice in April.
The estate agency notified some of it's clients (tenants and landlords) that they were no longer in the business of persuing rentals, and were branching out into international property overseas (Dubai). They are a small estate agency with 1 branch, and its had its shutt
Q:My freinds son rents a flat above the Landlords shop, the shop was deliberately set on fire during the night causing extensive damage to the shop and smoke damage to the flat above. My freinds son and his girlfriend only got out because of passers by managing to throw stones and wake them. He is upset, nervous of staying there incase it happens again and every where stinks of smoke so he has moved out.
The Landlord is refusing to give back the deposit saying my friends son has not given
