Q:Help!! My family has a real problem. My mother and stepfather were away in Europe when he became ill, came back to the UK and was diagnosed with cancer. My parents had let their flat to tenants, so immediately gave them notice that they wanted it back (it's a rolling contract requiring 2 months notice from landlords). We actually gave them nearly 3 months notice but had a feeling the tenants would be difficult and not move out. For the last 2 months they have been late paying their re
Q:Hi all
Wondered if any landlords or otherwise on here had any experience in working with the above company.
they undertake independent inventories and the like.
Anyone got any experience, good or bad?
Q:Hi Everyone
I just thought I might have a bit of a rant. I've recently moved out of some rented accommodation after living there for about 2 years. I was a perfect tenant, always paid rent on time and kept the place spotless. When it came to getting my deposit back, my landlord (estate agents who were managing the property) tried to charge me £115 for not returning my keys to the house, despite the fact that I had handed them in over a month before!

Q:Looking to rent. Have registered with a few agents so that I can receive email up-dates on properties that become available.
One of the agents called me earlier to clarify some details. I took the opportunity to ask them what kind of references I should have prepared so that as soon as we find the right property we are 100% ready.
They told me that they themselves will run a referencing on us and the information they get from that is enough. Some landlords require em
Q:hi, my mum want to private rent a little flat, she has enough money for the deposit and rent etc, the only thing is due to my dad committing fraud against her – which is going through the courts, her credit rating is zero, do all landlords credit check? she is on IB at the moment waiting for an op on her hands so would get HB, but she has enought to pay the rent in full until this would be awarded. My sis could act as a guarantour(sp?) if needed. Does she have any chance of being able to rent?
Q:Hi everyone,
I think this has been mentioned elsewhere on another thread but I can't find the exact one..

Also, are there similar ones run by other utility companies?
Ideally I am looking for
Q:I ought to be able to answer this, but never had the problem with my two BTL's
A friends daughter is going back to Uni next month and moving into rented with three other girls. She wants to go up early and pick the keys up, sort her stuff out etc. No problem here – however, the Agent has asked that their Contents Insurance covers the Landlords fixtures and fittings before she can pick the keys up! I've never heard of this before and wonder if any of you can shed some light o
Q:hi guys, I'm just in the process of buying a flat and it goes through on 18th August, but I need to rent it out for 6 months whilst my girlfriend has an op.
so questions are,
1a) do you advise going through an Agent? if so, would you go with one with a few properties on their books or with loads?
to me it's a toss up between if they have a smaller selection, then it means less competition to mine, however if they're a smaller agent then less potential ten
