Q:Have just given my landlord 4 weeks notice that I am moving out, just paid last month's rent on the 26th July will move out on the 24th August when i moved in I paid a months in advance, do i get any money back? did pay ￡700

    Q:We had an offer accepted on a house we liked but halifax wont put a sold sign up! Our surveyor has been instructed to do the survey and the money has been taken out of our account so it should be done really soon, still halifax wont take take it off the market.

    They say they will tell people who enquire that its under offer but can still go see it, there isnt nothing stopping a new bidder offering more than us and we lose the house which I think is bad seeing as though we've sp

    Q:My tenant is leaving the property next week.

    He pays 50% of bills, which come in quarterly. Is it fair to take some money out of his deposit for the 2 months that he has been in the property since the last bills came in in JUne?

    If so what is the appropriate way to work this amount out- should i take average over last 12 months?

    Q:We are due to complete next week. We are the end of the chain with no onward.
    Does the solicitor just take payment out of the money passed up to us or do we have to settle before completion ?

    i am planning on letting a property but first I need to spend some money to update it , probably about 20k. Now Whilst I do have the capital i wondered whether it would be better to borrow the money and offset it against tax ? is that possible,and how much of the loan ?Thanks

    A i have previously mentioned that we had reserved a persimmon house although now we have walked away. Thing is we paid a reservation fee of ￡250 and on the contract it said we were only entitled to ￡50 if we cancelled. Also we paid for a kitchen and appliance upgrade and they said if we cancelled then we wouldnt get the upgrade money back either.

    Is this right? i dont want to arque the toss if it is right but on the same token dont want to just leave them with my

  • Help – Tennant not paid up . [last september] [money]

    Q:Hello Guys,

    I rent out a house to somebody that works at the same place as me, I have known them for over 5 years, then last september they knew that I was going to rent the house so they asked. We then drew up a contract.

    But a couple of months ago they skipped rent (yes i know foolish). Now I do really need the money.

    Q:Please can anyone help

    We were living in a rented house for roughly 8 months and now it has come time for the deposit to be returned we are having trouble with the managing agents.

    We had an inventory done both before we moved in and when we left and in this there is really very little they could possibly take money off for, although it is difficult to argue it as the managing agents originally didn't give us a copy of the entire inventory and then delayed forwardin
