Q:Hi, this is my first post and just wanted to say I wish I had discovered this site before, It's GREAT. Anyway, I would like some info about moving abroad for good. I am selling my house and would like to know how much am I allowed to take abroad and/if i have to pay taxes on money going abroad, etc.. Thanks
Q:If you're selling your house and buying another, do you need another 5% or 10% in ready cash or can you just use the money that you will be getting from selling your 1st house?
There's no way we can save up the kind of deposit we did when we were living with the parents, so just wondered?
Q:Can anyone tell me if anything else can go wrong, if so what and is it likely?!?!?
Ive got a buyer for my property who is renting and ready to move (hes not bothered about losing rent money on his notice)
The people whose house i am buying have already moved into their new home so its vacant.
I have had all searches back
All three have signed contracts.
All have their finances in order.
We have all agreed to complete on 1st December
What could now
Q:Having got the survey back a week ago, there is a bow in the front wall which we have agreed to pay to get fixed as it's only quoted at £350.
We're just wondering when people would recommend that we get the work done? Should we exchange in a few weeks, get the work done and then complete or should we exchange and complete at the same time, with the mortgage lender retaining the money needed to complete the work?
Q:I am hoping to transfer my deposit this week to my solicitor in preparation for exchange. Can anyone tell me how long it takes for the money to clear? Thanks
Q:help please anyone! Was expecting to exchange yesterday and got phonecall from EA saying buyers need £3500 before they can exchange to pay for some bills. They thought this had been included within their mortgage amount but its possible the mortgage broker messed up. However he says not. Its been suggested they borrow from relations/friends etc but they say its not possible. I dont want to lose the place I'm buying. Should I get EA to see if others in the chain can help out, fork out
Q:Hi I have a completion date of 15/06/2006 and have just been advised by my mortgage company that my solcitor has order the mortgage monies to be released on 09/06/2006 – so it will obviousley be sitting in their account for 6 days earning interest whilst I have to pay interest on it to the mortgage company.
Is there any thing that I can do to stop and prevent this?
Thanks
