Q:Hi – I posted a short while ago.
Quick background – London house went on market for £365,000 in Feb – several offers – accepted £354 but fell through almost at exchange as couple could'nt get mortgage. Went back on market at £345 early July and have now received another two offers – one at £330 but they have a flat to sell which has been on market a long time and we would be in a chain. Second couple (will be renting out their one bed flat – baby on way and need more space – have mort
Q:Hi,
My OH and I are going through a break up at the moment and trying to think which way is the best to do things.
I would like to keep the place, but the mortgage at the moment is too much for me to pay by myself. I could swap the mortgage over to interest only (about £950 a month) and then rent the second bedroom out for £400 a month. I could then pay the rest and be ok. It would be tight for a while but not too bad.
The only problem is, I need a good mon
Q:Hi, I have posted a couple of times about selling our house – sorry I need to be hand held but not sure how to play this and no-one really to advise me.
We have two offers now, both letting out their own flats in order to buy ours, both have mortgage in principle. One, has offered £330 (house on at £345, down from £365 in feb) – he is looking at another property tomorrow. The other couple have offered £318. I kind of accepted £318 offer on Saturday but now feel I would like them t
Q:Hi all,
FTB here, was due to exchange on Friday but run into a problem, just after some opinions……
Had survey done on the house and this came back clear with the only thing that came up being that the flat roof on the kitchen extension needed replacing. Our lender said that they were happy to proceed with no conditions or retentions attached to our mortgage offer and only that they advised us to look into the comments raised in the survey.
We did this a
Q:We are in the middle of selling our house (its a 2 bedroom and we need a 3 bedroom) and we are thinking of renting for approx. a Year to see if prices go down before getting back on the property ladder. As we would have approx 50k from the sale of our house , and the fact that our next house would hopefully cost 100-110k we would only need a fairly small mortgage we think it wouldnt be too hard to get another mortgage.Does anybody think its a sensible thing to do as it means about 6 or 7 k in
Q:i have 15 years left on my mortgage with a home owners loan that will run alongside my mortgage. im looking to move and was wondering if
A) i can move the loan to my next house. or

Q:I wasn't sure where to post this as it covers a few topics, but here goes.
My wife and I currently have around 46K to pay off our mortgage (currently 5.25% tracker). Our payments are currently £440 a month. We have 95K invested in a Friends Provedent fund, which gives us an income of £180 a month.
Our first baby is due in Jan, so firstly, we want to pay off the mortgage with half our investments, making us around £260 a month better off (and mortgage free of course!
Q:Hi,
This might be a really daft question but here goes……
My friend has split up from her partner and has just been sacked from her job!!
She is panicing about how she's going to pay the mortgage on the house as well as everything else. She has been trying to sell the house since the two of them split up
but no luck yet.
Here's the question….. me and my girlfriend want to buy a house as we both live with our parents, but have just started saving for a de
Q:I have just bought a new house with a large-ish mortgage (290k).
I was planning to sell my old house (realistically ~230k) which I own outright, and use the cash to reduce the mortgage on the new house.
Obviously selling might take time. And unexpectedly more than one person has come up to me saying they'd be interested in renting the old house from me.
If I wanted to do that, what would be the best way? Take a large mortgage on the old house and use the
Q:Hi,
I wonder is anyone can help, my husband and I live in a very expensive area and we cannot afford to move up the property ladder.
We have a house to sell but it isn't big enough for us anymore as we have a baby and we cannot afford a bigger house on our own.
A relative of ours has offered to share a house with us, however she already owns it outright (mortgage free). The house if big enough for us all to live in together.
We would like to
