My leather sofa is “stuck” in previous rented property!

I've recently moved out of a rented ground floor flat (around mid December), however when trying to get the furniture out, we realise we had a problem.

About 6-9 months ago the landlord replaced all the doors/windows from wooden framed double glazing to PVC double glazing. While doing this, the frames he replaced them with were considerably smaller than the old frames, and now our leather sofa will not fit back out through the front door. There is no physical

  • Finding an owner to address?

    Q:I recently placed an offer on a place through an estate agent, but the seller wanted to complete in 6 wks or rent. She decided to rent and remove the property from the market.

    I now want to make her an offer she can't refuse but would prefer to deal directly. However I need to find her residencial address. I tryied following:

    1) Posting a letter though the rented property addressed to her, but i'm not sure if she will ever recieve it.

    Q:Hi i bought my flat outright in July this yeay and am thinking of buying a house and keeping the flat. I will probably rent the flat out for extra income. Can anyone tell me how i will stand as far as tax is concerned, and any pass on any other tips that might help. I am in f/t employment and a standard tax payer……Thanks alot

  • Lodger in rented property

    Q:I am looking at renting a propery on my own from December as my housemate has just bought with her boyf and will be moving out once the current T/A is up.

    1 bed properties where i live are approx £450-£600 per month, whereas 2 bed properties are approx £525-£600 per month.

    I can afford to spend £600 max per month on a property so it seems more sensible to take on a 2-bed place.

  • Rented property – not clean, no inventory

    Q:My son is renting a property from 30 June (property had been empty for 3 weeks before he moved in). When he looked at it, he was told cleaners would go in a few days before he moved in. Unfortunately, cleaners did not turn up. After many conversations with letting agent, cleaner came in end of last week and did some cleaning, not all, kitchen has still not been cleaned. Kitchen needs more than normal household cleaners to clean cupboards, worktops etc.
