Tenants in Common / Joint Tenants

Q: Evening all

Quick question

If Im half a borrowers mortgage. I am a tenant in common or a joint owner or not?

I hours on a mortgage with my mother 72 years but the I checked it didnt register the title to refer me too? : Confused:

A:You will either be a Joint Tenant or you could be a Tenant in Common.
I think you have to be one or the other.
In the first case the survivor takes all and it is theirs by right and not left to them in the deceased will. Hence not Inheriotance Tax can be due in respect of the value of the house.
In the second case you own half each. You may or may not be left the remaining in a Will.
