Q:Hi, I need some advice, I am unable to work due to health reasons. I have a mortgage and the DSS pay the interest on part of it. I have to pay the rest, as I am on benefit, I am finding it very difficult to make ends meet and upkeep my own property, IE maintenance. I had to get a loan to pay for repairs and this is also causing me a lot of worry. I have heard of these companies that buy your home and then you can rent it back from them. I wondered if anyone had any advice on how reputable they are?. :confused:

They rented it back for a couple of months as they were buying somewhere else, The company that bought their old house put it on the market where it sat for aged empty. It showed that it was overvalued in the first place! The company they used was a local one.

DFW is a friendly place with loads of people in all sorts of different debt situations….sometimes other people looking through your budget (in a non judgmental way can throw up loads of new ways of dealing with things…DV refferred someone with a similar q to you the other day and I have followed her thread….she went from thinking about selling her home to one of these rip off people as she had arrears etc….she now sorting it all out in a different way……………

If you are having problems making ends meet or are in debt have a look on the DFW forum. there are lots of friendly, helpful people there who will be able to help you out without you having to lose your home.

DON'T TOUCH THEM WITH A BARGEPOLE.
They offer you a rubbish deal for your house and there are no solid guarantees about how long they will rent back to you, or at what price.
If you really need the cash, sell up to release your equity and then find somewhere nice to rent.
