What is the Council tax . [rough estimate] [council tax]

Q:if you go from a B up to the next bracket? i'm down south and realise this question may be very varied but if someone could give me a ! We currenly pay £106 per month…thanks.

A:If you go to the voa website www.voa.org.uk (http://www.voa.org.uk) you will be able to find the bands & relevant payments for any borough in the uk.

A:Actually, you can do an exact calculation, as the band ratio is the same everywhere in the country.

Everyone's is calculated related to band D in their area. If D is 1000, then A is 6/9 of that (670 ish), B is 7/9, C is 8/9, E is 11/9, F is 13/9, G is 15/9, and H is 18/9 (twice band D).

So, going from a band B to a band C is simple to calculate, if you are staying in the same local authority.

C/B = (8/9) / (7/9) = 8/7 .

So your will go up by around 1/7, or 14%.
