What should I do – Rentals [rented property] [mid march]

Q:I'm currently 21 and live with my parents (paying rent). We have been given a date of to move out of current .

I am trying to decide what to do. I am planning on travelling within the next year so don't want to burden my parents by moving out shortly after finding a new house.

I have looked at properties in my area Farnborough, Hampshire and would ideally like a flat of my own. However I don't know whether this is affordabe for me though. I currently earn under £20,000. I am basically in a bit of a dilemma as to whether I can go it alone or not. I don't really want to move away as my family, friends and job is here.

Any advice would be great

Thanks

A:You could try to get a house share with other people your own age.

That will be cheaper and so you can still save to travel, yet without the responsibilities of paying for/running a whole home.

Have you asked your parents how their plans would change depending on you staying or travelling? It might be they would still look to get the same house whether you are there or not.
