Where can I look for rental apartment / house [credit checks] [credit rating]

Q:Hi All

I will be going down the bankruptcy road my is no good will have to give up my house to pay off some of my debts,
so I will be looking for a rental flat/house in Kent, I know some of the agents
will not look at me, () can any body point me in the direction of where private LL advertise are there any sites on the net, I have been looking but not found any good ones, any help will be great.

boy oh boy some agents will not even return my e-mails
think its a case of walking round all my locals and try face 2 face

Not saying that you won't but I'm alot more naive than I thought I was and am in a right pickle at the moment. Everyone on this forum have been really helpful though.

A:Look at the noticeboards in the Court – some LLs specifically target bankrupts. Not because they are trying to take advantage, but because they recognise that you are now debt-free and probably better off than other tenants with debts! :j

Also, approach letting agents, but tell them upfront that you have just gone bankrupt and ask them if they will even consider you as a tenant – some will :j some won't

A:Check the kent messenger, can do this online too, we are with a private landlady but she still did a credit check if I remember rightly
