Q: Where is the cheapest place to buy boxes / bubble wrap and other bits are needed.
Will rent a van to go help.
A:See if you can get hold of some industrial size clingfilm. I did and it meant I could move bookcases, cd racks etc without emptying them.
A:I've asked on freecycle and someone kindly gave eme their boxes as they unpacked from their move. Lots of proper removal company boxes too As for bubble wrap… just go around the neighbours asking for their old newspapers and let rip, forgive the pun.
I'd resent paying for cardboard boxes.
A:join freecycle.org, people who have moved often put their moving materials on there – all free.
A:…we're paying for the full packing service.
We asked the company for some packing stuff so we could make a wee start. "Sure" they said, "￡10 for boxes, ￡10 to deliver them, tape is…"
"Stop! forget it! we're not paying extra for the privilege of doing some of the work for you! Bring all the same materials on the day and pack the lot on the day"
Some companies look a gift horse in the mouth…

A:Argos do moving stuff (boxes and packaging), but probably works out expensive if you need loads. Wilkinsons do bubble wrap cheap (99p for the same amount I've seen on ebay at ￡5 or ￡6!) Good luck. x
A:I bought my bubble wrap off ebay something like 75m for £8!!!!
I was lucky I got loads of boxes from tescos and a friends just moved so she gave me hers.
Supermarkets crush them now but if you go in and ask for them to be saved they will do that for you.
Someone told me if you have a comet or pcworld near you ask them as they will have large boxes.

Lucky with the van too – we're borrowing one of those as well!!
