Q:When buying a house …why does completion seem to always be arranged for a friday ?
Is there any good reason (other than people have the whole weekend to move in/out ?)
We are looking to complete over easter and good friday is clearly a bank holiday ….so *could* people reasonably asked to complete during the middle of that week ?

Another advantage is that its easier to sort out any issues the next as day as solicitors, utility companies etc are easier to contact during the week.

We always aim for a Monday as most removal companies will give a sizeable discount for moving then as it is their quietest day. A good 15% cheaper than the rest of the week when we used Pickfords.
